The build is best used in the top or bottom lane with a high-durability lane partner. And the last one comes Energy Amplifier's effect each time Dragapult uses Dreep and Destroy. The third one comes from Attack Weight's stackable Attack stat increase. The second layer comes from Shadow Ball's applied effect, where inflicted targets receive increased damage. The first one comes from Phantom Force's stackable damage increase effect whenever Dragapult knocks out an opponent. This build utilizes the damage amplification from different sources. Def, and Defense can be freely traded for the other stats. Equip Emblems that improve Attack or Critical-Hit Rate to maximize Dragapult's attack damage. The build's Boost Emblem loadout should consist of 6 Brown Emblems for maximum damage and 4 White Emblems for additional HP. However, for an all-in damage build, X Attack will give Dragpult additional firepower through damage amplification and increased attack speed. As for Phantom Force, X Speed would be the ideal item, giving Dragapult a versatile mobility tool.

When running Dragon Dance, Full Heal works best for Dragapult since it can prevent the Pokemon from getting disabled while flying. Scope Lens increases Dragapult's chances of dealing critical-hits while improving the damage they deal, which synergizes well with the attack speed buff and the stackable Attack stat increase from Phantom Force or while flying during Dragon Dance. Remember that the item's attack speed effect can trigger during Dragon Dance. Rapid-Fire Scarf further improves Dragapult's attack speed, especially when combined with the attack speed bonus from Phantom Force or Dragon Dance. Muscle Band helps Dragapult farm the jungle camps faster through increased attack speed and an HP-based bonus damage. As for the second moveset, the key is circle around targets with Dragon Dance and knowing when to end the move. For the first moveset, it's best to stay behind allies during teamfights since Dragapult will lack any escape tool once it reveals itself from Phantom Force. Dragapult can either learn Phantom Force and Shadow Ball or Dragon Dance and Dragon Breath. This build is centered on giving Dragapult an advantageous start by taking the jungle in the hopes of carrying the game. The builds are still viable even without the suggested emblems.
